The Code 9 Foundation was formed in 2015 to provide peer to peer support for first responders suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and other associated mental health injuries.. You can visit them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/code9ptsd/ or their website at https://www.code9ptsd.org.au.
Code 9, also strongly support the partners and carers of first responders who themselves are going through a major change. By facilitating peer to peer support for the partners and carers, we are giving them an outlet to talk, to learn, to support and to give themselves the best chance of staying mentally healthy themselves whilst living in an incredibly difficult circumstance.
